San Diego Facts
MMS will take place in the freshly renovated conference rooms of the Manchester Grand Hyatt, located on the 2nd floor (Seaport side). View the space in 3Dhere. These spacious facilities ensure a comfortable, uncrowded environment, with minimal noise throughout. You'll also find plenty of breakout areas to connect and have one-on-one conversations with fellow attendees or speakers.
Dining:
- Sally's Waterfront Dining is located just out the back door on the ground level with waterfront views of San Diego Bay.
- Top of the Hyatt is the stunning rooftop venue on the 40th floor featuring indoor and outdoor seating, entertainment and panoramic views of the city, bay, and Coronado.
- Seaview Breakfast Buffet Restaurant elevates the lobby lounge experience and is ideally located in the heart of the hotel’s Lobby Level.
- The Landing in the lobby offers light bites, high-end wines and statement cocktails
- Starbucks is located in the lobby right next to the front desk.
- Across the street is the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina which houses a restaurant called Marina Kitchen Restaurant & Bar and an outdoor dining area called Agave Bar and Grill.
MMS is THE endpoint management event of the year. We call it a summit, not a conference, for a reason: it's where industry-leading speakers and MVPs from around the globe connect with Microsoft PMs and developers for deep-dive technical sessions you won't find anywhere else. Plus, plenty of opportunities to network, swap stories, and maybe make some lifelong IT friends.

Where is registration?
- Sunday 1pm-5pm: in the expo area on the 2nd floor.
- M-W 7-5pm: top floor entryway of expo in the foyer
Where is the welcome reception?
It'll be a pool party on the 4th Floor with apps and beverages served. Everyone with a badge is welcome (spouses/partners are welcome for the last 30 minutes).
Where are the cabanas?
We're calling them Wingman Sessions. These will be held on the 2nd floor.
Where is lunch?
Outside! See the map.
Is there a closing party?
There is the greatest welcome reception ever on an aircraft carrier; the USS Midway. There is no formal closing party hosted by MMS (but there is a welcome reception Sunday evening). Keep an eye on X (#MMSMidway), as well as converse with attendees to find out where attendees (and staff) are congregating. Many sponsors throw some great parties too so be sure to visit their booth and ask!
Is there Wi-Fi in the breakout rooms?
Yes, but it can get saturated quickly if everyone opens their laptop/phone and starts working. Try to limit your use for this reason alone. You or your company is paying for you to come learn, not logon and work!
Is there a dress code?
You can dress casual, but don't be a slob. Always best to dress for success!
MMS will be held at the Manchester Grand Hyatt which is on the Embarcadero, the main waterfront of San Diego. We recommend you just explore on your own. It's worth noting that if you hear music on the main floor of an establishment which is not to your taste, odds are the next floor up is playing something entirely different. That said, here are some notable things to see as you make your way along.
As you near the far end of the Embarcadero, you'll find the Gaslamp Quarter to your right (south). It's worth a look too with plenty of its own activity.
Gaslamp Quarter is steeped in history, once the heart of San Diego's red-light district. Today, its Victorian buildings offer a nostalgic escape from the waterfront's buzz.
Visit iconic venues like The Shout! House and Hard Rock Cafe, where the atmosphere is intimate and the music eclectic.
Enjoy the Prohibition-era ambiance of hidden bars like Prohibition and Noble Experiment, which still retain their secretive and rebellious charm.
Look for unique murals and hidden artistic gems in the quarter, perfect for photo ops and a touch of San Diego creativity.
From upscale dining at Searsucker to casual eats, Gaslamp Quarter offers a variety of culinary delights in a cozy setting.
