Fishing Sessions
What
1:1 sessions with Microsoft & Speakers are called Fishing Sessions for MMS 2026 at MOA. We'll hold these in booths in the back of the FireLake. We hope the move out of the foyer should be quieter.
You'll be able to sit down with Microsoft, speakers, or career guides privately, in-person, for 20 minutes.
Speakers are asked to staff these 1:1 sessions based on the popularity of their sessions. Our thinking here is that if you're too shy to speak up in a big session, perhaps you will privately in a fishing session.
As an enticement, snacks and sodas (and maybe beer) are offered while you chat.
Where
The fishing sessions are in the back of FireLake this year (Microsoft, Speakers, and Career). If you're in the Lakes Foyer head towards the rest rooms, then enter the back of FireLake. You'll see Wally standing there.
These sessions will run at the same time as other sessions. Feel free to leave your current session for 20 minutes and pop back in when done; speakers won't be offended by your walking out. They know to expect it.
How
Fishing Sessions cannot be booked in sched.com directly!
Find Wally to book your session. You are likely to spot him at the registration desk or over by the FireLake.
Sessions will be published Sunday (we wait to help you find normal sessions first).
Wally will take walk-ups on a case-by-case basis throughout the week. Just ask if anything is currently open.
Limit: 1 session per attendee max per day (but again, if a booth is open when you walk-up, Wally can let you in).
