MMS

MMS 2017 Registration is Open!

Registration is open for the fourth annual Midwest Management Summit! The goal of the summit is to provide you amazing speakers and an atmosphere where you can approach them. We won't be rushing speakers off the stage or forcing you to eat rubber chicken. Bring your questions. Engage with attendees and speakers alike.

Leading Industry Speakers – Deep Content. Take a look at our speaker lineup from MMS 2016, and you'll get an idea of the great speakers we consistently bring to you. World renowned, hands on practitioners, tool makers, and industry experts. The schedule and evaluations from MMS 2016 also show the depth of our content, and reinforces our focus on System Center, PowerShell, and Windows Azure solutions.

Best Conference. Best Value. The hype is real. Ask anyone who attended a previous MMS. Don't miss out! Take a look at our evaluation summary from MMS 2016. 94% of attendees rated MMS as above average for a conference, would recommend to peers, and agree that we provide the right amount of technical content.

Venue and Food. The Radisson Blue is attached the Mall of America so you can enjoy a variety of food options. There will be coffee, water & light snacks during the conference. Meals are on your own. Check out our post: Food at MMS

Registration Options for MMS 2017

MMS moves from 3 days to 4-full days for 2017 which will require a bump in pricing (no pre-con this year). We plan a very short early bird window to allow those with limited funds a chance to get in at a good rate. As of 30 Nov, the full rate will go into effect.

We highly encourage the hotel stay as we have evening events to help networking continue on after hours. We consider MMS to be a networking event as much as a technical conference.

General Registration: $1799

Early bird discount of $500 until 30 November, 2016.

Hotel Bundles:

Sun-Mon-Tue, Mon-Tue-Wed, Tue-Wed-Thu: +$500

Sun-Mon-Tue-Wed, Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu, Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri: +$625

Sun-Thu, Mon-Fri: + $700

Ale cart: $169/night

FireLake Meal Plan. This option should help the few folks who rely on one large bill for everything. FireLake is the only restaurant in the hotel and is ranked 2nd for restaurants in Bloomington on TripAdvisor. They don't serve cardboard boxes full of rubbery chicken, but instead will serve you 3 great meals each day (breakfast\lunch\dinner on Mon\Tue\Wed\Thu).

Finally, we cautioned you to read closely: we'll also hold a welcome reception this year offering appetizers and drinks on Monday, 15 May at 5pm. Keep that in mind when booking travel should you wish to attend. There will also be a brewery tour that day and possibly more events to help build your networking skills. So strongly consider staying at the hotel Sunday.

Registration for MMS 2017 will open soon. Watch #MMSMOA on Twitter to catch the news of the opening.

What exactly is the MMS hAcKath0n?

At the November MVP Summit last year, the CM devs introduced us to something they had been running internally for a while: a hackathon.  Nope, not computer hacking, but hacking away at quick hits to improve CM easily.  The idea is to look at what might be the easiest fixes to take on and churn out quickly.  At the MVP Summit, we were asked to come up with ideas we had wanted in the product for years but never got.  Anything which would take a massive re-write of the product was quickly dismissed.  But other ideas were taken, worked on, matured, and some sample code delivered at the end of the week.  Many hAcKath0n ideas from the MVP Summit are already in CM now or will be soon.

We aim to to repeat that highly effective concept at MMS this year.  Attendees can submit their ideas to automate tedious, monotonous, and boring work where devs flying in from Microsoft and Coretech will work to deliver solutions on the last day of MMS.

Representatives of the team will be here at MMS to repeat that success.  And where a fix might just not fit CM itself, the Coretech team will make it happen.

You can assist us now by thinking up ideas and submit them here.

Come attend the Tuesday morning session where we vote on the best topics to try to tackle.

Then come to the Thursday evening session where we see the code delivered!

The best ideas chosen will win a Surface Pro 4!

But wait there is more: the Hackathon will not only help solve your daily CM issues. We will be there to assist you with Service Manager, SCORCH, SCOM and Azure automation too. Just imagine how smart this conference will make you look, when you present a fully automated solution for your boss, after the conference. Go submit and claim your spot in System Center history!

MMS 2016 Evals are in!

We really couldn't be happier with these results. They really show that we've nailed a great formula here for success.
